Nerd Rage Modders


Ok, so me and Irish sat down and discussed what kind of "mod" this clan should create. I know a game (or a mod) called "Hidden" for Counter Strike Source. so we thought we should do something like that. This is the general idea:

Mod Type: Gametype
Game: Call of Duty: World at War

Modders:
Holy
Waffles
Irishstorm
Fixz

Mappers:
Holy
Firemission
Fixz


2 Teams
Hunter Team
Survivor Team

Hunter
The hunter is a superpowered "beast".
● Some Sort of Invicibility (attack)
● Knife + Handgun of some sort (Ideas?)
● Faster
● Jumps Heigher
● More Health
● Semi Invisable
● Some sort of "vision"


(Post ideas in this thread)

Survivor's
The Squad are the people that are supposed to survive the hunter.
● Sodas
● Traps(?)
● Air Support(?)

(Post ideas in this thread)

General Idea
The Gametype is supposed to be played in Rounds, Like S&D.
if the hunter kills the entire "Squad" the hunter wins. if the "Squad" kills the hunter, or survives the entire round time, the squad wins.

as i was saying on xfire i like the idea,
we could also add class's for example,

Machine Gunner - Ppsh-41, 357magum
Demolitions expert - Browning, colt45
Recon - Double-Barreled Shotgun, Tokarev TT-33
Medic - M1A1 Carbine, 357magum
Sniper - PTRS-41, Walther P38

and then a different class for the hunter say a knife (need custom anims)
and flash bang grenades and he is invisible but you see the outline of the model like predator
with custom effects etc...

Maybe make a second type of hunter that is the dog from multiplayer. It could be faster, do more damage, but has less health.

i just noticed how hunter could have a different vision. I was thinking maybe the inverted colors or higher contrast settings that you can use on zombies or SP by using a certain DVAR. Not sure of what they are right now, but i will post back with them asap

Weird FOV
Desaturated.
Inverted(?)
Alot of glow.
Players "Glow"

Looks like quite a nice project. I'd been interested in helping out. Vision is fairly easy to change, just use SetClientDvar and the r_film dvars.

As waffles said, the visions are easily done with dvars, ill upload my Zombie mods on here so you guys can use the scripts

Ok, today I worked on:

- The gametype files, it is currently using TDM as a base. the gametype is called hidden.
- I also added setup scripts, so the "game" will only start when there are enough players for the gameplay to be fair.
- Added Irishstorm's scripts
- Added Carepackage, needs work on the weapons given though
- Added most strings to the hidden.str file

Basically the core for the start of the gametype is done, need to finish off the endgame conditions and other stuff. Also feel free to download the scripts off the FTP and edit them if you want.

yeha well the guns will all mme custom textured and have all the attachments ofc
